Onterris Awarded C$9 Million Environmental Services Contract for Major Canadian Natural Gas Infrastructure Project
Award expands environmental consulting role on a major natural gas investment in Canada, supporting responsible development, environmental stewardship, and energy security.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Onterris (NYSE: ONT) a global environmental solutions company solving complex challenges for planet and progress, today announced it has been awarded a contract worth more than C$9 million by a leading Canadian energy infrastructure company to provide environmental services during the construction of a C$3 billion natural gas transmission project. The contract is expected to generate revenue through the end of 2027. The project is a significant infrastructure investment designed to support growing energy demand, industrial expansion, and long-term economic development in Canada. Once operational, the system is expected to deliver more than 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Onterris previously supported the project's front-end engineering design and detailed engineering phases, providing planning, permitting support, field investigations, and regulatory compliance services. This latest award extends the Company's role into the construction phase and interim reclamation activities, demonstrating confidence in the Company’s technical expertise, integrated service platform, and successful execution across the project lifecycle.
"This award reflects the strength of our client relationships and demonstrates the value of partnering throughout the permitting, construction, and interim reclamation phases of critical infrastructure projects," said Vijay Manthripragada, Chief Executive Officer of Onterris. "Having been involved since the project's inception, our experienced team delivers the insight and continuity needed to reduce risk, safeguard natural resources, streamline regulatory compliance, and support efficient project delivery."
Onterris will deliver comprehensive environmental services throughout pre-construction, construction, and final clean-up activities. The multidisciplinary scope includes support for wildlife protection, aquatic habitat monitoring, nesting bird and migratory bird compliance, amphibian breeding wetland and relocation programs, wetland delineation and protection, vegetation, soils, contamination response, invasive species management, biosecurity protocols, regulatory compliance, and GIS-enabled spatial data management.
A key differentiator on the project is the Company's integrated digital management platform. Onterris will utilize enterprise GIS technologies, cloud-based field data collection, interactive dashboards, automated reporting workflows, and real-time spatial data management to provide clients and project stakeholders with timely environmental intelligence throughout construction. These digital capabilities improve field coordination, accelerate regulatory reporting, enhance quality assurance, and enable informed decision-making.
This project strengthens the Company's growing portfolio of major energy infrastructure projects across North America while reinforcing its strategy of delivering environmental services across the full project lifecycle. This approach fosters long-term client relationships, creates recurring revenue opportunities, and further establishes Onterris as a trusted partner.
